Once we had finished our production of 'Honey Bear' we evaluated our work. From viewing our production I decided that in order to make our production better, we needed more dramatic shots which would grab the viewer's attention and therefore be more effective . I also believed that we could have used a wider range of camera shots which could have been more appropriate and would have also shown a wider range of camera skills. Also in our shots of the murderer we managed to cut his head off, and also quite a few of our shots of him involved him having his back to the camera, which is something we could have changed.
When we were editing we had to use a different music track from our original idea of 'A-Team' by Ed Sheeran, due to copyright issues. The track we eventually chose was 'My Immortal' by Evanescence, and although this song also had copyright issues, we managed to record our own version of the track, which helped to give a tone of sadness to the production, however I believe that the sound of birds tweeting we had at the end of the production gave it a rather light touch, whereas we wanted a more sinister sound when it came to viewing our murderer. This we showed with the scream and flat lining heart monitor at the finale of the production. We also experimented with the captioning we used, but I think that the blood dripping at the beginning of our production wasn't realistic enough. We also had quite a few contrasting editing effects. The cross fades we used to get from one scene to the next almost made the production a little soft which meant we didn't get the hard hitting tone we were hoping for, and also it made the transitions from each scene slower which didn't help us.
The setting we used could have been better. The grave scene we did in our directors back garden didn't suit the tone of the production and so this slightly made the tone of the production off.
