Sound Effect ideas - Wednesday the 25th

In today's lesson we started to work on new ideas for adding sound to our film openings, to make the film opening more interesting and clear. We can up with these ideas:

  • Stabbing a fruit with scissors to re-create the stabbing sound of Harry stabbing Shaunagh
  • Filling a balloon with red food colouring and popping it to create the blood splatter sound and effect.
  • Using a heart monitor for a background to create suspence
  • Screaming to add a sense of fear
Also for our song we have chosen (A-team by Ed Sheeran) we would like to see if we could slow down the singer (myself) and set the song in a minor key instead of a major key to make it sound lower, duller and more frightening. We are also going to try the song without the lyrics to see if it creates a more depressing sound, and we will be using an acoustic guitar to create a slower more depressing sound.

So for Friday's lesson, we will need:
-Squash fruit - Miss Alison
-Food colouring - Daisy
-Balloons - Miss Alison/Daisy
-Scissors - Shaunagh
-Old white top(that will get ruined) - Anybody who can get hold of/find one.
-Harrys hoodie - Harry
